Yeah, now it’s time for some Christmas cookies. Last weekend my girlfriend and I started to bake moustache cookies and some other funny dainties. Just like aliens, pizzas, magic shrooms, a bloody moose and of course a bunch of conventional X-mas cookies. Ho ho ho!
Here’s the recipe for a shortcrust pastry:
- 500 g (1,1 lbs) flour
- 125 g (ca. 4,4 oz.) sugar
- 250 g (ca. ½ lb) butter or margarine
- 1 (ca. 0,3 oz.) package vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
- 1-2 dashes of salt
- Plus a little bit of flour to roll out the pastry,
and sugar, water & citron juice (or any other kind of fruit juice) for the frosting
and a lot of fun, of course.
And that’s all. Simple, but delicious Happy holidays!
Oh, and I just wanted to show you a picture of this cute teenage red fox which is roaming through my garden almost every day:
Sorry for the crappy photo quality.
Have a nice weekend!
